By exploring how business and Māori values and practices can be synergised to realise cultural and commercial benefits.

By assisting Māori groups and individuals at all levels with research knowledge and advice that will inform their business aspirations and practices.
 
To collaborate for knowledge …
By pursuing initiatives with other research agencies, Māori business groups and individuals, and agencies to generate and enhance research knowledge of benefit to Māori in business.

What Does Te Au Rangahau Do?

  • Conducts quality research relevant for Māori
  • Produces publications on Māori business issues
  • Maintains up-to-date resources regarding business issues for Māori
  • Continues to develop and maintain a national database of Māori business networks
  • Organises and supports hui on business issues that affect Māori
  • Liaises with other research centres who share Māori development as an objective
  • Offers postgraduate students opportunities to be involved in Māori business research
  • Assists in other activities that reflect the objectives of Te Au Rangahau
